Ecological Reserve
As part of the surrounding Eastern Hyper-Oceanic barrens, the Mistaken Point Ecological Reserve is a nature-lover’s paradise. In addition to the fossil sites, there are a number of hiking trails and natural preserves in the area for you to explore!
Interpretation Centre
As the starting point for all Guided Tours of the fossil site, the Centre offers information and exhibits on the local history, culture, and unique ecosystem of the Mistaken Point Cape Race area.
Cape Race National Historic Site
Over the last few centuries, the Cape Race Lighthouse and Marconi Wireless Station have secured a place in history as witness to some of the pivotal moments and innovations that connected and shaped our world – including the rescue efforts of the Titanic.
