Meander through the Interpretation Centre Gift Shop, browsing unique handcrafted treasures created by local artisans, as well as a selection of gifts, souvenirs, and official merchandise.
Take the Guided Tour

Pack up a lunch and find yourself the perfect spot for a seaside picnic next to the historic Cape Race Lighthouse. Relax and soak in the historic surroundings where folks have gathered for centuries.

Bird and Whale Watching
Finish off your day with incredible coastline views and wildlife sightings. Cape Race is a popular spot for whales, seals and birds of many kinds. Don’t forget to bring your binoculars!

It’s time for one more adventure before you’re homeward bound. Start your day by hiking to Cape Freels. Discover Newfoundland’s southernmost point, where dramatic shipwrecks occurred, and remnants of an old fog alarm station await. Found just 2 kilometres southwest of Cape Pine Lighthouse.

Whale Watching at St. Vincent’s
Grab some lunch and head to St. Vincent’s Beach, one of Newfoundland’s best-kept secrets for whale watching! Standing from only mere meters away, you’ll be able to witness these ocean giants as they breach, dive and play right before your eyes – no boat required!
